The Canadiens have recalled forward Owen Beck from the Laval Rocket, per team. Beck, 20, has played 37 games in Laval this season, recording nine goals in 16 assist in his first AHL season. The Peterborough, Ont., native was selected by the Canadiens in the second round (33rd overall) in the 2022 NHL Draft.

Forward Joshua Roy (upper-body) will be out for four to six weeks. Defenseman William Trudeau (lower-body) will be out for one to two weeks.

Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid has been suspended for three games for cross-checking Vancouver Canucks forward Conor Garland. McDavid will forfeit $195,312.51. Vancouver Canucks defenceman Tyler Myers has been suspended for three games for cross-checking Edmonton Oilers defenceman Evan Bouchard. Myers will forfeit $46,875.00.
